A Day In NYC

Recently I flew to New York City to do some taping for the planned release of the award-winning Gang War: Bangin' in Little Rock and Back in the Hood: Gang War 2 to DVD for release by HBO.

Sundance Winner Marc Levin of BLOWBACK PRODUCTIONS said, "We are very proud and excited to be able to get this film in the hands of even more people since it appears gangs are going global." Which is important since we are seeing more and more gang like activity not only in the U.S. but around the world as well. The critically hailed films are used in many educational, intervention, government and law enforcement venues.

Levin, Daphne Pinkerson --who photographed the drive-by scene in Gang War and is a producer of several highly-acclaimed documentaries-- and I spent several hours doing the commentary for the extras section of the DVD which will also feature previously unseen footage from both documentaries.
