Scheduling Fall School Assemblies Now

Below are some comments from a recent series of assemblies I did in Ohio. For informatoin on scheduling your school, contact me at GangWarSteve@comcast.net or by calling 501-940-4264. As you can see, the assemblies usually produce results that can be followed up on all year long. Steve

From a recent visit to Toledo, Ohio:

“The attendees were from a widely diverse range of occupational backgrounds that included school teachers from several different school districts, police officers, juvenile court probation officers, school nurses, youth prevention program personnel, elected officials, clergy, physicians, parents and youth.

Your presentation was educational, powerful and compelling. After you had finished one youth who asked that his identity be protected and kept anonymous, turned in two bullets that he had in his pocket. Another youth, who also requested anonymity, revealed that he had a gun hidden at home that he would like to surrender to the police department if he could do so without getting himself or his parents in trouble. One of our staff members made an arrangement with one of the police officers attending the conference to facilitate the youth’s request”.

[...] Jose Luna, a special assignment teacher at junior high schools, observed the program at Leverette and at Jones. He said Mr. Nawojczyk was able to connect with the youth in a way few adults are able to.

“They live in the neighborhoods every day and they understand that he knows what he’s talking about,” Mr. Luna said. “He isn’t some governmental expert giving statistics or some little pansy program. It is the truth, honesty, straightforward.” […]
