MARCH 1997
Thanks for visiting "The Coroner's Report". If you are a first time visitor, I hope you will come back. This month we are
making an exciting addition to the web site. This page will be updated on a regular basis. It's content will be determined by you the reader. Our hope is that we can help you become connected and informed on what is happening elsewhere to fight the issues of violence and gangs.
Another exciting addition coming very soon will be a search engine dedicated to this entire web site. It will allow you to search by topic through the various discussions and newspaper articles available at gangwar.com
Since I retired at the end of 1994, I have been traveling the country researching
and reporting on the gang and juvenile violence problem that has swept
our nation. What excites me every place I visit is finding common
everyday people who are battling this horrible epidemic of lost youth in
this country. People like the juvenile judge in Ohio who makes it
a part of a court order that a father take his son fishing...people like
the mothers and fathers who have joined hands in groups like Mothers
Against Gangs and MadDads...or people like former gang members who work
day in and day out to save this next generation from prison cells or body
bags.
We will feature a program or person each month that is making a difference.
To make this a success, we need your help. If you know of an exciting
non-traditional program, that is showing results, whether government
or privately run, let us know about it. Send all the information you can.
Thank you,
Steve
